January 1/27/2012...One Year in Dallas and...
I’m excited to say I’ve been in the same job in the same city for more than 1 year! Work is going great as we are meeting with people and helping them going on now for 127 years just as a family firm and 5 generations in. Jan, Feb, March, Arpil, May, June… and in a couple days it will be July. It’s already been 6 Months since I started my new job in Dallas! That is crazy! I was in Phoenix last week with Project 7 making coffee, came back to Boulder, CO to finish my last weekend at the Hotel Boulderado where I was parking cars. My truck died 2 weeks ago, so I got a rental car for 2 days to run around town. I think I Boulder can...
Hey,
Still in Boulder looking for jobs….it’s fun, stressful, and interesting. I hate it and I love it. I’m tired and I’m energized. So many emotions, and so many ideas.

Calling Colorado Home...
Boulder Colorado is my New Home!
It was great to drive in last week from Dallas, up to OK City, then up to Kansas and over on I-70 all the way into Denver Colorado. Everything was going smooth on the drive, but it was long. I stopped when I needed to get gas or just walk around and drink a soda. When I got about 40 miles outside of Denver, I was surprised when my back right tire blew out, not to...

I’ve been driving around Colorado for the last 2 weeks starting the day after my bro Taylor got married. Before that I had just gotten back from Europe, drove to AR to help with a bike race, and then spent 2 weeks hanging between Austin and Dallas.

I'm sorry but I'll try harder...
I have not been good at keeping up with posting…with that said, I’ll try harder.

Leighton Takes Manhattan!
New York, New York!!! (Early March)
Bright lights, skyscrapers, museums, shows, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building…and yellow taxis! All things that are very New York…but that was not my prioraty when I went there. I went to hang out for a week with Mike Barry and Adaobi and ended up making more and more friends.

Los Angeles in a nut shell
Hey everyone. LA was great. I am in Dallas now, and the traveling is starting to pick up.
I flew into LA last Friday just in time for lunch and stayed there until just after lunch on Wednesday. For about 5 days I hung out with Richard Card, an old friend from Dallas, and had a great time. We ate great food, went to a couple concerts, saw a comedy troop, and even went hiking up to the Hollywood...

Heading West right now, far West to L.A. for a photography confrance focusing on the business side of photography. I hope to meet people, learn some things about marketing a product, and see some friends. Richard Card, a good friend from high school, lives in Hollywood area and Lauren is close to the beach. On the road again...
I just got back from Nashville, TN visiting my brother and his family. Drove my ‘95 Yukon 8 hours to get there on I-40: 3 hours to Little Rock, 2 more hours from there to Memphis, then 3 more hours from Graceland to Nashvagus!
Nashville is a cool city. There seems to be enough going on but small enough that even I can go to a small concert and see 5 people I know. The people are great...

Paid to travel?
The best kind of hobbie is the one that pays for itself. That’s something I’ve been saying for a while. Along the same lines, it would be great to get paid to travel. Last weekend I was working a ton. After working in Fayetteville I drove Friday night 4 hours to Hot Springs, AR. One of my buddies is a professional event photographer. Last weekend I drove up to Lawrence, Kansas to see one of my best friends from high school, Adam Murphy, who I was in a band with back in the day. Adam is getting ready to move down to Texas soon so I thought I would drive up to KS one last time to hang out with him. 1 week back in Fayetteville...
Ok, so I’ve been back in Fayetteville, Arkansas for 1 full week now and it seems like it’s been a lot longer. I’ve been back to work and in my spare time have been trying to catch up with friends. I will try to post a longer recap soon and post some pictures from Poland and Prague.

Sitting in Chicago’s airport waiting to board our 2:30 flight to Germany and they asked if anyone wanted a $600 travel voucher to wait 1 hour to fly….um, no brainer!
